The Parent Information Night (Jan. 29/09) was very well attended. Information presentations were well received and gave an excellent overview of the program for prospective parents and interested community members. We have several information brochures available:

Montessori Kindergarten Registration started Feb. 12/09 and is currently still open. The number of registrants at the moment is greater than a full kindergarten class, which gives the school great opportunity to make the best predicted class groupings in all Montessori age levels enrolled.

New Students for Grades 1, 2, 3, or 4: If you are interested in enrolling your child at a grade later than kindergarten, please contact the school directly. Late entries may be possible when spaces are available and arrangements are considered on a case-by-case basis.

In 2005 a group of local parents with a common interest in finding elementary Montessori education for their children gathered together to form the Comox Valley Montessori Society.

The school board for SD71 has approved the continuation of the Montessori program and that it is now a K-7 program.

Montessori classes are currently in session for Kindergarten, and grades 1, 2, 3 and are located at Queneesh Elementary School.
