Catherine Munro (Queneesh Elementary, Grades 2/3/4)

Teaching Montessori has been like a journey of coming home for Catherine. She grew up on a farm where she took care of animals (large and small), grew food in the family garden, and learned a myriad of skills related to home and the land. It is not surprising that she found her way to Montessori pedagogy with its links to real world learning. Catherine currently teaches in a lower elementary Montessori classroom at Queneesh Elementary. She previously taught in Victoria at Maria Montessori Academy and Selkirk Montessori. Catherine holds a B.C. teaching certificate, has completed level I and II certification through AMS (American Montessori Society), and completed her master’s degree with a Montessori focus through St. Catherine’s University.
